A beautiful Sunday

What a gorgeous day - the sun surely does warm the body, soul and heart - bring it on!

Well we packed Daddy off to school this morning (Josh thought this was very funny!) to help with the working bee - they were building/constructing raised garden beds so that the children can plant vegetables this week - another initiative the school are following to become a sustainable Eco school. Mummy took down some morning tea for the workers and we stayed around for about 10 minutes - enough time for Josh to shovel some dirt - but it wasn't really the place for children as it was a rather busy construction zone.

So Josh and Mummy & Huddy went off for a bike ride along the beach. We came across some people who had just caught 2 x rather large 'elephant' fish - yes just off the pier - incredible !! Of course Josh wanted to race home immediately to get his fishing line but we managed to convince him that we had another 'adventure' in mind.

Daddy arrived home and we packed up the car and headed off to a wonderful BMX track where Daddy & Josh 'hooned' (there's that word again!) up and down rather muddy banks. Josh loved it and has certainly mastered his new bike, well and truly. After nearly an hour, Josh's legs were like jelly and he was having trouble pushing the bike back up to the start line, so it was time to leave. Plus Mummy was horrified to see the amount of mud up Josh & Daddy's backs !!
But an ice-block on the way home in the car seemed to fuel him up with enough energy to insist we go and fly his kite in the park - and so we did! But it is so easy as the park is literally right next door, we can jump the fence - and we sometimes need to remind ourselves how lucky we are to live where we do!

And then a game of Monopoly to finish the day off - and to also finish off Mummy and Daddy as well ! Me thinks an early night for us all ....
