End of Term and Ever-So-Sad Goodbyes

Good news ... we made it to the end of Term 2 without succumbing to the many viruses and illnesses that are rampant at school. We are so looking forward to the next 2 weeks of holidays and having time to simply relax and 'play'.

Bad news ... oh what a sad day. Mrs Whitehead said her farewells to the school, teachers, parents - and Joshua's class. She is moving to Australia. We feel so incredibly lucky that we have had her for the first half of this year and can only hope and pray that the new teacher is going to be good. However, they are HUGE shoes to fill .... Mrs Whitehead is a most passionate teacher - she arrives at school every morning at 6.30am and puts so much prep into her days. For us personally, she has taken the time to understand Josh and his different ways of learning; she has been so kind, supportive and encouraging and has opened up so many positive 'doors' for Josh. We now have a little boy who is far more confident about his abilities and is happy to go to school.

Mrs Whitehead sent a lovely email in response to one from Mummy that said .... "I feel blessed to have been a part of your lives for this short while. I have loved teaching Joshua and I know his special qualities are part of his charm and he will continue to develop into a beautiful young person".

We remain positive about the new teacher ... but there will never be another Mrs Whitehead.
