Our AMAZING Trip

Yes .... we have returned ... wow, what an amazing adventure. We flew out of Auckland to Hong Kong, overnighted there and then onto England (yes, for those of you who ask ... it is a long way especially with an active 6 year old). Suffice to say we were very happy to land at Heathrow, albeit at 5am in the morning.

We had a fabulous few days staying with Aunty Juliet & Uncle Mark in Tooting - and Josh got to meet his cousins for the first time ... nearly-5 year old Olivia and nearly-3 year old Jack (or Jack-a-bee). The highlight was definitely Uncle Mark taking us up on the London Eye - wow, such an amazing way to see all the sights - and also the 'Duck' which is a trip in an amphibious craft that is fun, quirky and different - it starts off on the road passing famous landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the House of Parliament and Trafalgar Square. We then launched into the Thames River which Josh just loved! Daddy obviously knows London like the back of his hand and this trip certainly jogged Mummy's memory of a previous trip there many years ago ... but one never ceases to be amazed at the wealth of history in the city of London, it makes New Zealand feel like it is brand new!

Let's also not forget out trip to Hamleys, the largest toy shop in the world, and we easily lost ourselves there for a few hours (adults included) !

Here are a few photos of our first few days in the magnificent city of London.
