Yes, we had a good win today. They called it "real" rugby today in the rain and mud ... glorious mud. Mummy had a few other choice words for it as she stood in the freezing cold rain and got a tad splattered with mud! Some of the Mustangs were a bit hesitant before the game started because it was SO muddy but everyone ripped into it after the whistle. Coach Kevin was very happy with the way the little Mustangs played today - lots of tackles and good ball skills despite the slippery mud and a few good scrums.
In the words of the coach .... "Joshua Turnbull showed great ball skills in the wet today and loved the chance to tackle a few Magpies. He too got stuck into fighting for the ball and was always close to the ball. He was always looking to tackle and got at least three very good ones pulling them to the ground and demonstrating his great technique".

After only 10 minutes of play, they all looked like muddy drowned rats!

Oranges at half-time have never tasted so good !
At the end of the game, a few of the Mustangs decided to SIT in the mud - and guess what, it was the 2 girls, Sophie and Susan !
Joshua was literally stripped off BEFORE he was allowed in the car ! He thought this was very funny!
