More school holiday fun ... we were invited to Martinborough for the day to join up with Ariel and his family who have just bought a weekend retreat-come-lifestyle block of land over there. It was such a lovely relaxing day ... beautiful weather, lunch and simple games out on the lawn, and the tranquil peace and quiet of living miles from anywhere.
We also raided the orange and mandarin tree (what is it about the abundance of flavour from fresh fruit plucked straight from a tree that has grown wild and not been sprayed with any pesticides?). But the highlight was probably a visit to their sheep shearing shed where the children had races up and down the sheep ramps !
A lovely day ... and the inhalation of fresh country air certainly tired us all out !

The boys simply loved the farm bike - no surprises there !
The back lawn was ENORMOUS with so many games to play
And then we raided the orange tree - and Josh got the best pickings from up high!
And when they had enough outside games, there was a piano inside to play !
There were 3 of these sheep ramps so lots of fun racing each other up them
And let's not forget Huddy - let's just say that he LOVED his day and spent so much time in the muddy stream and rolling around - his evening bath took forever !
