We love Saturdays !! The day started with our first 'official' competitive game of ripper rugby for the Mustangs. Josh proudly led his team onto the pitch as he was Captain today and The Mustangs went on a stampede .... they were firing and won the game 19-9. The after-match report by the coach said ..... "Joshua showed he's a real rugby player today. He ripped an awesome 7 tags, showing how much hard work he did on defence. He also worked hard in general support play and this paid off when he picked up a deserved try on the line when another Mustang got ripped just short. If Joshua hadn't been there, we would not have got that try !"
Both Mummy & Daddy are 'very' vocal supporters on the side line !! The main thing is that Joshua loves it, we have an awesome coach and all boys feel that they really 'belong'. It is nothing unusual for Coach Kevin to pick up the boys and swing them through the air when they have scored a try!! And you should hear the team mantra - not quite the All Black haka but close to it!
And then this afternoon we had our last swimming lesson for the term - and we are learning SO much ! Today we did the basics of breathing whilst doing full arm strokes.
