Scots is AMAZING

Josh came home tonight and said "I had a good day today Mummy" and he seemed so positive - talk about music to Mummy's ears! Josh had also been awarded another merit point today ( he now has 9!) for good writing skills and is top of the Leap Frog table. Leap Frog is a maths game and Mrs Bell even called Joshua a 'little calculator' today!

And tonight we received the newsletter which tells us that in a few weeks time the junior boys in Years 1-3 have got 4 incredible days of EOTC activities (education outside the classroom) ... Monday they are off to the Island Bay Marine Centre; Tuesday they bus into Te Papa in the City and see the Pompeii Exhibition; on Wednesday they are all having breakfast on the school campus at 8am and then helping set up pup tents for the day's activities of learning and having fun; and then on Thursday they are joining up with Years 1-3 from Queen Margaret (the 'sister' girls' college) and heading into the city for 3 hours of an orienteering experience.

How amazing is all that ? I certainly do not remember school being this much fun, do you?

And just so the parents don't feel they are missing out entirely, the College is putting on a dinner for the parents of boys in the Junior School in 2 weeks time just prior to teacher/parent interviews !

Scots College : Learning - for Life.
Scots enables boys to reach their potential and be equipped for life as balanced, compassionate, movitated and socially aware young men.
