As part of EOTC Week, Years 1-3 boys (aged 5 to 8) had a sleepover at the Zoo. All boys finished school at 2pm and then had to be dropped back at the Zoo at 7pm.
Let's just say that Josh was a little nervous about this impending sleepover and unbeknown to us he spoke to Mrs Bell, his teacher, and told her that he was very anxious. Mrs Bell applauded him for coming and talking to her and suggested that perhaps Josh might like to sleep next to her! Mummy said positive things about the sleepover all week and eventually the day arrived. We picked up Spencer on the way so that make it a little more exciting because Spencer was really looking forward to it.
Just before I dropped the boys off, Josh turned to me and suddenly said "Mummy, I just thought ... Daddy is in England and I am at the Zoo ... who is going to sleep with you?". Oh bless!! I did have to remind him that of course Huddy needed me at home!
Mummy picked up Joshua the following day at midday and ... good news, he had a great time - phew! According to Mrs Bell, he certainly reminded her on a number of occasions that he was sleeping next to her - which he did - but apparently he was asleep before Mrs Bell even got into bed!
Mr Cassie, the Principal, was even there to welcome all the boys
The morning after the sleepover - some boys looking a little tired!
