Pre-Season 'Fun' Game

With only a week to go, Coach Kevin thought it would be a good idea to have a pre-season game. It was a beautiful crisp but sunny Saturday morning and the Mustangs challenged the Slammers to a game. Whilst the Mustangs beat the Slammers, the score really wasn't that important as it was simply a warm-up and a chance to remember the old rules and learn some new ones.

Coach's report post-match read ... "Joshua had an excellent game. He alternated wing and half-back with Tom and performed well in both. He was quite fearless in taking it 'up the guts' and bounced back despite getting a bit of a battering. He passed cleanly and he also pulled off a try-saving tackle out wide when the Mustangs were otherwise thin. Joshua always followed the ball, ready to clear to the backs".

Early days ... stay posted. Let's just say our general household is a little 'nervous' about this rugby season. The full-on tackling and fending is going to be interesting to say the least!
