A time to remember ...

We went and saw Sara today for our speech & language lesson. Sadly, Sara's very loved golden retriever, Logan, was put to sleep over the weekend after test results showed major liver failure. Sadly there was nothing that could be done as his system was shutting down and although he was an old boy, it has still been very hard for Sara and her family to lose him.

This made Mummy & Daddy fondly remember our beloved Benny, also a golden retriever, who died at age 14 about 10 years ago. We had only recently visited his little 'memorial' plaque which sits pride of place on a bench seat up by the Wellington lookout and explained to Joshua who Benny was.

These precious animals of ours - we humanise them so much that we and they believe they truly are human - as much as the ending is always devastating we would truly not be without them as they bring to our lives so much innocence, playful fun and love.
