And a few days in Taupo

And then on our homeward stint, we stopped off in Taupo for a few days where we were very spoilt by both Sandra & Sandy and also Pip & John. One day we went to Sandra & Sandy's lifestyle block and visited all the 'animals' and Joshua was delighted to have a chance to go horse-riding on Buddy !
We spent many an hour simply down on the lake shore feeding the ducks and Hudson just lived in the water. We then had a glorious day with Pip & John at their holiday home ... we went out in their boat and Josh and their daughter Emma really 'clicked' and had an absolute ball on the biscuit behind the boat. They must have 'hung on' for nearly 2 hours off and on as we 'hooned' across the very still waters of the lake - just glorious ! All we could hear was the 2 of them shouting "faster, faster"

Wow, what a holiday - and how lucky we are to have such lovely friends who have given us all such a wonderful time.
