Our Road Trip North

We loaded the car with all of us - including Hudson-dog and headed north. Thank goodness we borrowed the 'coffin' for the top of the car for all our luggage as Hudson took the entire back of the car and Josh set himself up in the entire back seat with books, toys and snacks ! Well, we had an amazing time ... we travelled Wellington to Rotorua for our first 2 days, then onto Auckland and north to Pakiri for 5 days, a day at Stanmore Bay, a day on Waiheke Island, 2 days at Miranda in Thames, back to Rotorua for a further 2 days, onto Taupo for 2 days and then a day coming through the Wairarapa and home to Wellington. In all, we were away for 12 days - we just loved it and returned home with a far better appreciation of New Zealand and its most beautiful beaches, geography and opportunities. We felt very spoilt and cherished by friends everywhere and loved sharing our holiday. Watch this space for holiday photos to come .... Mummy is busy sorting through them all !
