We are always very happy when Malcolm & Jill arrive in Wellington - they spend about 5 months here each year. They have 'adopted' us in some ways and we feel so lucky. Mummy & Daddy sometimes feel this parenting journey can be quite a lonely one without family around to help in any real way and Malcolm & Jill help fill that void - they seem to really enjoy spending time with Josh and as parents of 2 older quite incredible young men themselves, they are a great source of help and a wise and experienced sounding board to us. The most special thing though is that Josh feels and believes that Malcolm and Jill are his friends and he has developed his own independent relationship with them both. Josh has only ever had 4 sleep-overs in his 6 1/2 years - and 3 of them have been at Malcolm & Jill's - it says it all really !And then this past week Malcolm & Jill have sent 2 emails to Josh ... how special is that ! Josh was thrilled. Thank you so much Malcolm & Jill ... you mean a lot to all of us, and especially to Josh.
