A hugely busy day

We left home this morning to visit Uncle Sam at his cafe as he was hosting the NZ Seven's team for breakfast (as he does every year). Interesting diet for those boys ... no bacon and eggs and fry-up for them, oh no - it was SO healthy And phew, up close, gosh those lads are big! However, sadly I have no photos to show as Mummy's camera had a spas-attack - can you believe it !?!?!?!?!?

After that we went for a play-date at Chester's house. Chester is a boy in Joshua's class and so the two Mummy's had planned a get-together. Chester has already been at Scots for a year and so knows most of the boys and we are hoping that he may help Joshua make some friends.

Then out to Lindsay & Asmaa's house for a play-date with Ben & Jake. Fortunately Lindsay is a professional photographer so could fix my camera - phew my camera is right 'up there' with my wallet and cellphone, those 'things' you just cannot do without! We had a lovely afternoon - Jake and Ben are the nicest, most kind and supportive boys you could ever hope to meet - Mummy so hopes there are a few boys in Joshua's class like Ben and Jake. Josh loved their electric train set and the boys got along famously.

And then on the way home, we visited Aunty Rosie to officially meet Luca, her new kitten, who is just adorable - so tiny and timid at this stage, but we are sure once he gets used to his new home he will be very playful. And now .... as you can guess ... Josh wants a kitten !!

Home for dinner, iron the school shirts (t-shirts were so much easier!) and cover the school books in durasel (duraseal is seriously meant to test even the most patient of mothers - and thanks Josh for choosing one that is very unforgiving of errors!) - and then the bed routine ..... Mummy is exhausted!!!!

Joshua, Ben & Jake - all having fun together

Introducing Luca .... isn't he adorable
