Josh has a new teacher this term - Michelle Cowles. We do miss Mrs Whitehead very much, however it is lovely to see Miss Cowles start the term off in her 'own' way. She has introduced a Tick Chart system whereby all the children are awarded ticks for attitude, application to schoolwork etc and when their chart is full, they get a 'treat'. She has also introduced the SuperStar for a Day ... and guess who was SuperStar today? YES it was Joshua ! Apparently he got chosen by Miss Cowles because he remembered to put his book bag away all week, he remembered to put his glasses on and then away at the end of the day - without being asked ! (And believe me, Josh is not 'strong' on memory!)
So this morning, he 'danced' into school - and sat in the SuperStar chair alongside the teacher and was given little tasks to do to help Miss Cowles for the entire day - wouldn't that make you feel important?
