Final Curtain-Raiser for the Season

The Wellington Lions were playing Taranaki at the Stadium (The 'cake tin') and the Mustangs were one of 4 junior teams chosen to play the Curtain Raiser which means that they get to play at half-time. As the 'Manager' of the Team, Mummy also got to go out on the pitch with the team this time - and I have to say, it is quite a buzz !! The Lions 'thumped' Taranaki as well so Wellington was very vocal and the Mustangs certainly got their share of glory and cheering !
Lots of pre-game antics 'back-stage' with Fionn, Josh & Tomo
Gosh, cheer-leading just took on a whole new look !
The Mustangs are ready to play !

A hi-five from Leo the Lion as they enter the grounds

Game tips from Coach Rob before the game

And the game is on ... Mustang Josh looks for someone to pass the ball to

And as they left the pitch, some of the spectators ran down to hi-five the Mustangs - how amazing is that and it certainly made the Mustangs feel very important !
