We all piled into bed this morning for cards & presents. This year Josh gave Daddy some vouchers - we down-loaded a voucher template from the computer that Josh liked and then we worked on what Daddy would like to receive. We then put all the vouchers on a keyring with a big red heart ... and gave it to Daddy.
Joshua's vouchers said/gave:
- A hug and lots of kisses each day for 5 days
- One car clean
- Ten thousand hours on the WII with me (no surprises there!)
- Let's go fishing together Daddy
- A family picnic at the park
- I will make you your favourite breakfast with a jaffa (the ole flour, sugar, egg & jaffa trick!)
- A trip to the movies together
But the loveliest of all was when we still had one voucher to fill in and I asked Josh what he thought that Daddy would really ... really ... want for his birthday. Joshua thought for a wee while and then his answer which he wrote in the last voucher was "to just be with me". Says it all really doesn't it.
The very special birthday vouchers - it doesn't get much better than that!
