Sylvia comes to town

Although Sylvia now lives back in Auckland, she still comes to Wellington for her interior design work every few months - and we are very lucky that she always comes and stays with us. Her energy and passion for life is astounding and she fills the house with so much laughter, fun and ... noise !

She has a special way with all of us - she lays on the floor with Huddy and speaks to him in a high-pitched doggy-talk so much so that his tail literally thumps on the ground; she and Mummy always stay up till the early hours chatting, laughing and scheming; she has a special relationship with Josh (having been a primary school teacher in a former life helps) and is always so encouraging and supportive of him, taking a great interest in all he does. This time she brought down with her a special story book for Josh called "Mister Got to Go" - a delightful tale about a cat that moves into The Sylvia Hotel in New York. The storyline is glorious ... but you should have heard Sylvia reading it to Josh - it came alive as only Sylvia could do ! Josh has become very fond of her and calls her "my Sylv".

Sylvia is a great 'drug' to have in the house, we all come alive !
