Osu Osu !!

What does this mean you might ask ? Osu means patience, determination & perseverance and is used to greet others in Kyokushin Karate. Yes, Josh started Karate today - he was bouncing off the walls and just loved it!
Sensei (teacher) Chris spent some 1:1 time with Josh who was over-enthusiastic to say the least and it was very funny seeing Josh trying to 'kick & pummel' Chris who, as you can imagine, had the most gentle way of making sure Josh got nowhere near him!
Mummy & Daddy are hopeful that by learning Karate, this will help Josh with his self-confidence, ability to defend himself if need be, encourage good listening and gentle but firm discipline - not to mention the fitness and flexibility that goes with it all.

So from now on our Mondays are going to be even busier with school, speech & language with Sara and then Karate (and next week Josh will have his white robe & belt). What a lucky boy !
